Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of training on grey oyster mushroom cultivation in enhancing knowledge gain and family support among visually impaired individuals. Using a pre-test-post-test research design, data was collected through online questionnaires and phone calls with ten participants of Inclusive Agro Project initiated by researchers from Universiti Putra Malaysia, in collaboration with Malaysia Association for the Blind (MAB). The findings revealed significant improvements in both knowledge and family support levels following the training. These results demonstrated the successful impact of the training program in empowering visually impaired individuals through skill-building and strengthening family support dynamics. The study highlights the importance of inclusive educational programs in fostering knowledge acquisition and social support for marginalized communities.
